Response and Booking

How does the callback form work?

Fill in the form and a real person calls you back fast, day or night. No hold music, no automated queue, just a plumber sorting out what's wrong and how soon we can get to you. It works the same at 2am as it does at midday.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Burst pipes, blocked sewers backing up, no hot water, gas leaks and overflowing toilets all count. So does anything sending water where it shouldn't go. If you're not sure, call anyway. We'd rather talk it through than have you guess and make it worse.

How fast can you get here?

We're on-site fast, with plumbers working across Paddington and the surrounding suburbs day and night. Exact timing depends on where you're calling from and what's already on the board, but a genuine emergency jumps the queue every time.

Are you really open 24/7?

Yes, including weekends and public holidays. Ring any hour and you'll speak to a licensed plumber, not an answering machine. Plumbing emergencies don't wait for business hours, so neither do we.

Pricing and Quotes

Is the quote really free?

Yes, working out the price costs nothing. The price we quote is the price you pay. No exceptions.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. $0 Call Out Fee, every visit, whether it's a straightforward fix or something bigger. You only pay for the work itself, once you've approved it.

Do prices change once the job starts?

No. Once you approve the price on-site, that price doesn't move, even if the job runs longer than expected. What you agree to is what lands on the invoice, nothing more.

Do nights, weekends or public holidays cost extra?

No loading for after-hours, weekends or public holidays. What we quote covers the whole job, whatever time we're standing in your kitchen doing it.

Working Around Paddington

Which suburbs do you service?

Paddington, plus Woollahra, Edgecliff, Bellevue Hill, Double Bay and Bondi. We're regulars around Five Ways and the Royal Hotel, right through to the Oxford Street strip near the markets, so the whole patch is home turf.

Do you work on Paddington's apartments and strata blocks?

Yes. Between the converted terraces and newer unit blocks, a lot of our Paddington callouts are strata jobs, shared stacks and common-area fittings included. We know how to work around a body corporate, not just a single household.

Do tree roots really block drains around Paddington?

Constantly. The original clay and earthenware drains under Paddington's Victorian terraces are well over a century old, and the big trees lining streets such as Glenmore Road push roots straight into the joints. It's one of the jobs we're called out for most often around here.

What does heavy rain do to Paddington's plumbing?

Paddington's terrace rows leave little permeable ground, so heavy downpours push a lot of runoff into narrow, shared stormwater drains fast. It's not a suburb that floods badly, but localised surcharge backing up into yards and laneways is common in a big storm.

Licensed, Insured and Accountable

Can I check your plumbing licence?

Absolutely, ask and we'll give you the number. We hold NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C, and you're welcome to verify it independently before any work starts.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, on every job, every time. That cover doesn't lapse between callouts and it doesn't depend on the size of the job.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

You're responsible for the pipes on your property, everything from your boundary in. Sydney Water looks after the mains beyond that point. If the blockage is on your side of the boundary, that's the job we handle.

What is safe to try myself before you arrive?

If you can safely reach it, turn off the water at the meter to stop things getting worse, and mop up standing water so it doesn't spread further. Never attempt gas repairs yourself. If you smell gas, leave the property and call from outside.
